China’s performance in construction machinery exports keeps increasing

Summary of the construction machinery mid-term report in 2022: Under the industry’s downward situation, the profitability was under pressure, and the epidemic repeatedly affected the work to start further suppressing demand. 

However, the overseas layout of China’s construction machinery has gradually progressed into the harvest season, and exports are still growing quickly.

Fifteen head companies were chosen as the research sample of the construction machinery sector of the machinery industry, and nine of the fifteen sample companies with export revenue in the first half of 2022 were wholesale machine factories.

In the first half of 2022, these nine companies had a total export of RMB 41.574 billion, a year-on-year increase of 62.11%, and export revenue accounted for 33.32%.

The main reasons were globalized distribution channels, research and development, and early-stage worldwide epidemics that resulted in supply limits on some international brands. As a result, Chinese manufacturing’s capability for global supply has grown.
