China’s excavator sales decrease by 28.9 percent in October

In October 2023, China’s excavator manufacturers sold 14,584 excavators of various types, down by 28.9% year on year, according to statistics.

 In particular, excavator sales in the Chinese domestic market amounted to 6,796 units, down by 40.1% year on year, while excavator sales to the export markets totaled 7,788 units, down by 14.9% year on year.

From January to October 2023, the sales volume of the excavator industry was 163,396 units, a year-on-year decrease of 26%. In the Chinese domestic market, the sales amounted to 74,871 units, down by 43% year on year, while those to export markets totaled 88,525 units, down by 1.04% year on year.

The demand for excavators from downstream users has been slack, resulting in a year-on-year decline in excavator sales in the given month.
