China’s domestic demand and exports of construction machinery grow in March

According to data from the China Construction Machinery Association, the domestic and overseas markets of construction machinery maintained growth in March.

In the domestic market, sales of 7 out of 12 major construction machinery categories rose year-on-year. Domestic sales of excavators, loaders, and truck cranes increased by 23.5%, 16.6%, and 33%, respectively. After a slowdown in January and February, excavator sales rebounded notably, while truck cranes have achieved consecutive year-on-year sales growth since the second quarter of last year.

In the export market, 10 out of 12 product categories saw year-on-year growth. Exports of excavators jumped 32% year-on-year, sustaining the strong growth momentum since the start of the year.
