China's domestic excavator sales down in Oct y-o-y
China’s construction machinery industry’s export value from January to May 2023 had a year-on-year increase of 30.4% to US$20.75 billion. Russia remained the top export destination of China’s excavators in May.
During the period, the import and export trade volume of the construction machinery industry was US$21.84 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%. Among them, the import amount was US$1.09 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 12.9%; the export amount was US$20.75 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30.4%. The trade surplus was US$19.66 billion, a year-on-year increase of US$5.004 billion.
In terms of imports, imports of components reached US$754 million, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%; those of complete machines reached US$336 million, a year-on-year decrease of 27.8%.
The main products with increased import value included crawler excavators, stackers, bulldozers with less than 320 horsepower, etc.
