China’s excavator sales grow 18.5% in Mar

According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) released on April 8, China’s excavator market reported robust recovery in March 2025, with total sales of 29,590 units across all types, representing a year-on-year growth of 18.5%. 

Domestic sales reached 19,517 units, surging 28.5% year-on-year, while exports stood at 10,073 units, up 2.87% compared to the same period last year.

From January to March 2025, cumulative excavator sales reached 61,372 units, a 22.8% year-on-year increase, including 36,562 units domestically (up 38.3%) and 24,810 units exported (up 5.49%).

The data highlights a rebound in domestic demand and resilient exports, alongside a notable trend toward structural upgrades in electric excavators.
