Double-digit growth sustained in China’s domestic and overseas forklift sales in Oct; full-year sales to maintain steady uptrend

In October 2025, China’s total forklift sales reached 114,300 units, representing a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 15.9%. Both domestic and overseas sales achieved steady double-digit growth. Specifically, domestic sales stood at 70,400 units, up 16.2% YoY; overseas sales reached 43,900 units, rising 16.2% YoY.

From January to October 2025, cumulative forklift sales amounted to 1.22 million units, a YoY increase of 14.2%. Among them, cumulative domestic sales were 767,800 units (up 13.4% YoY), while cumulative export sales reached 452,900 units (up 15.5% YoY).

The sales growth was mainly driven by Chinese forklift enterprises’ improved overseas market layout, enhanced competitiveness, and the rising global demand for forklifts. 

Supported by a better macroeconomic environment, gradual recovery of domestic demand, sustained external demand, and eased risks of international trade frictions, China’s forklift sales are expected to maintain a steady growth momentum throughout the year. 

Forklifts have a wide range of downstream applications with weak cyclical characteristics and are highly correlated with manufacturing prosperity. The future recovery of the manufacturing industry and the growth of warehousing and logistics volume will further support the demand for forklifts.
