China’s excavator exports perform well in Aug

According to the latest data released by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, in August, 18,000 units of excavators were sold, in line with the same period last year, an increase of 0.5% month on month. 

During the same month, a total of 91,000 excavators were sold domestically in China, down by 2.24% month on month and by 26.3% year on year. 

However, the export market performed excellently. In August, 8,980 excavators were exported, a year-on-year increase of 56.7% and a month-on-month hike of 3.3%. The export volume has accounted for 49.7% of total sales, a record-breaking percentage.

From January to August this year, 26 companies sold a total of 179,000 excavators, sliding by nearly 31% year on year. Among them, the exports were 69,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 70.1%, an excellent performance for excavator exporting.
