China’s excavator sales keep climbing in July, exports lead the pace

Chinese excavator makers extended their growth run in July, selling 19,521 units (+13.9% YoY), according to the China Construction Machinery Association. Exports continued to lead, jumping 21.2% to 11,913 units and accounting for roughly 61% of monthly volume, while domestic sales rose a modest 4.13% to 7,608 units.

In the January-July period, total sales reached 171,841 units (+24.8% YoY), with exports up 31.7% (85,208 units) outpacing domestic growth of 18.8% (86,633 units). Electric models remain a small but notable segment, with 103 units sold in July (62 exported) and 424 units in the first seven months.
