Global demand fuels 24% jump in China’s machinery exports in Q1 2026

China’s construction machinery exports rose by 24.3% year-on-year to US$16.07 billion in the first quarter of 2026, maintaining strong growth momentum.

Key Highlights:

Product Mix: Crawler excavators, mining dump trucks, electric forklifts, and concrete mixer trucks were the main drivers of growth.

Regional Surge: Exports to Africa skyrocketed by 61.6% (US$2.83 billion), while Europe grew by 20.6% (US$3.18 billion) and North America grew by 7% (US$1.15 billion).

Market Expansion: The sector has expanded its reach to over 230 countries and regions, with total annual exports climbing from US$20.96 billion in 2020 to US$60.17 billion in 2025.
