China’s excavator & loader sales report in Dec 2025 and full-year 2025

According to data released by the China Construction Machinery Association:

Excavators

In December 2025, a total of 23,095 excavators were sold nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%. Specifically, domestic sales reached 10,331 units, up 10.9% year on year, while export volume hit 12,764 units, a year-on-year rise of 26.9%. In the same month, 39 electric excavators were sold, covering multiple tonnage categories.

For the full year of 2025, the cumulative sales volume of excavators stood at 235,257 units, with a year-on-year growth rate of 17%. Among them, domestic sales amounted to 118,518 units (a year-on-year increase of 17.9%), and export sales reached 116,739 units (a year-on-year increase of 16.1%).

Loaders

In December 2025, the sales volume of various types of loaders reached 12,236 units, a year-on-year increase of 30%. Domestic sales accounted for 5,291 units, up 17.6% year on year, and export sales reached 6,945 units, a year-on-year surge of 41.5%. In December, 2,722 electric loaders were sold, with the 5-ton model accounting for the largest proportion.

The full-year sales volume of loaders in 2025 totaled 128,067 units, a year-on-year growth of 18.4%. Domestic sales reached 66,330 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%, and export sales hit 61,737 units, a year-on-year rise of 14.6%.
