China’s excavator sales surge 52.8% in Feb

Excavator Sector:
In February 2025, China sold 19,270 excavators, marking a 52.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Domestic sales skyrocketed 99.4% to 11,640 units, while exports rose 12.7% to 7,630 units. Cumulative January-February sales reached 31,782 units (up 27.2% YoY), driven by a 51.4% domestic surge and 7.37% export growth. Notably, 19 electric excavators were sold, with 16 units under 6 tons.

Loader Sector:
Loader sales hit 8,730 units in February, up 34.4% YoY, including 4,505 units (63% growth) in domestic sales and 4,225 units (13.2% growth) in exports. 
January-February sales totaled 16,650 units (16.5% YoY increase), with domestic and export markets rising 26.2% and 8.33%, respectively. 
Electric loaders dominated with 1,327 units sold in February, led by 5-ton models (829 units), followed by 6-ton (379 units) and 3-ton (49 units).
