China’s construction machinery sales overview in Oct

According to data from the China Construction Machinery Association, the following is a summary of the sales figures for various types of construction machinery in October 2024.

Motor Graders: 609 units sold, a 27.9% year-on-year increase, with exports at 526 units, up by 28.9%.

Truck Cranes: 1,237 units sold, a 15% year-on-year decrease; exports reached 716 units, up by 49.5%.

Crawler Cranes: 196 units sold, down by 20.3% year on year, with domestic sales experiencing a significant decline to 63 units.

Truck-Mounted Cranes: 1,730 units sold, growing by 10.6% year on year, driven primarily by domestic sales with 1,492 units.

Tower Cranes: 353 units sold, a substantial 71.9% year-on-year decrease.

Industrial Vehicles (Forklifts): 98,582 units sold, up by 0.44% year on year; exports at 38,012 units, an increase of 12.7%.

Rollers: 974 units sold, decreasing by 4.32% year on year.

Pavers: 85 units sold, a 9.57% year-on-year decrease.

Aerial Work Platforms: 10,934 units sold, down by 12.8% from the same month a year ago.

Aerial Work Vehicles: 306 units sold, an 11.3% increase, with exports showing significant growth.

The data indicated that while the export market continues growing, domestic sales have shown mixed results.
